Policy

As part of our policy, students in all graduate programs must maintain a total enrollment of 10 hours (or more) overall for six consecutive semester terms (including summers). To ensure students get the full benefit of the residential college experience, students are expected to maintain full-time enrollment. Summer enrollment is not required unless part of the program's curriculum. Students who are in summer-only programs are not required to maintain continuous enrollment in the fall and spring terms, but must maintain summer enrollment each term.

Students who are unable to enroll in a fall or spring quarter must inform the College of their enrollment plan before the end of the quarter's admission/drop period or they will be placed on administrative leave of absence. After being placed on administrative leave, students who do not contact the Registrar's Office by the end of the term will be withdrawn from the College and will have to reapply for admission if they wish to resume their studies. Students who contact the Registrar's Office before the end of the quarter may request a change from administrative leave to personal leave, when applicable.
